This training is divided into two sections: 1) Online section: Upon registration, you will receive access to the online modules in which you will complete the theoretical portion of the training and test at your own pace and time. The online section must be completed before the in-class session. 2) In-class section: You will be required to attend the in-class session where the BLS physical portion of the training will be completed. Upon successful completion of the BLS provider training, participants will then complete the PALS course in which the focus will be on the physical skills, practice, and megacode. You must successfully complete both sections to receive your certification from Heart and Stroke. BLS certification is valid for one year and PALS certification is valid for two years.
